This equipment has been designed, built and tested in full compliance with the requirements of Regulations 4and 34, Chapter III of International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1974, as Amended, Part 1 and Part 2 of MSC.81(70) Revised Recommendation on Testing of Life-saving Appliance, as amended by MSC.226(82) and MSC.427(98), and Chapter I and VI of International Life-saving Appliance Code, as amended by MSC.218(82) and MSC.425(98). This is a device for lowering and lifting lifeboats by means of davits, pulleys and cables. It can not only lift and lower the lifeboat, but also lift and lower all kinds of workboats, rescue boats, life rafts, and carry out different kinds of sea operations. This device can meet the requirements of lowering lifeboats, rescue boats and life rafts without the help of ship's power source after the ship loses power through electric power lifting and gravity lowering; it can also be lifted and lowered by hand cranking.
