FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) Rescue Boat
This boat has been designed, built and tested in full compliance with the requirements of Part 1 of MSC.81(70) Revised Recommendation on Testing of Life-saving Appliance as amended by MSC.226(82), MSC.274(85), MSC.321(89) and MSC.323(89), Regulations 21, 31 and 34, Chapter III of International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1974, as Amended., and Chapter V of MSC.48(66) International Lifesaving Appliance Code, as amended by MSC.218(82), MSC.272(85) and MSC.320(89). The hull is made of fire-retardant FRP, the surfaces for personnel to walk on are non-slip, and the inner shell and hull are filled with polyurethane foam to provide sufficient buoyancy for the boat. If there is damage to the hull below the waterline, the floating part will still provide enough buoyancy to keep the entire boat afloat on a safe level. The rescue boat is equipped with steel handrails on both sides to facilitate the boarding and alighting of the crew, a self heaving deck to ensure the rapid discharge of flushed-in sea water, a hand pump for removing stagnant water from the boat, a stainless steel hook system - which can be lowered or recovered by means of a davit rope, a self-supporting air tank to satisfy the requirements of passenger and cargo RO-RO vessels. The boat can sail for more than 4 hours at full speed with a full load, and its speed can be up to more than 6 knots.
